2020-10-22T15:43:03.224Z

The list of territories with a ban on leaving the home after 9 p.m. (except for special reasons) is growing sharply, announced

From Ile-de-France and eight metropolises since last Saturday, we go to 54 departments.

Jean Castex announced this Thursday afternoon a considerably expanded list of areas where a curfew between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. will apply in order to fight against the spread of Covid-19.

The measure will come into effect in the new territories from midnight Friday.

The departments where the metropolises hitherto concerned are located are of course included in this list, namely Seine-Maritime, Hérault, Haute-Garonne, Bouches-du-Rhône, Nord, Rhône, Loire, and the Isère.

In particular, there are Ain, the Alpes-Maritimes, the Ardèche, the Ardennes, the Ariège, the Aube, the Aveyron, the Bas-Rhin, the Calvados, the South Corsica, the Côte d ' However, Drôme, Gard, Haute-Corse, Haute-Loire, Haute-Savoie, Haute-Vienne, Hautes-Alpes, Hautes-Pyrénées, Ille-et-Vilaine, Indre- et-Loire, Jura, Loiret, Lozère, Maine-et-Loire, Marne, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Oise, Pas-de-Calais, Puy-de-Dôme, Pyrenees -Atlantiques, Pyrénées-Orientales, Saône-et-Loire, Savoie, Tarn, Tarn-et-Garonne, Var, Vaucluse.

Added to this list is an overseas territory, Polynesia.

In total, also including the 8 Ile-de-France departments already under curfew, this measure now applies in 54 French departments, in which 46 million French people reside.

In all these departments, the incidence rate (i.e. the number of new cases per 100,000 inhabitants over seven days) is approaching or has already largely exceeded the maximum alert thresholds, set at 250 in the general population and 100 in people aged 65 and over.

Curfew always at 9 p.m.

The curfew start time remains unchanged at 9 p.m. regardless of the zone.

Only certain reasons (coming home from work, arriving from a long trip, taking your dog out) can be waived, provided you have a correctly completed derogatory certificate.

By imposing this night reconfinement in Île-de-France and in eight metropolises last week, the executive had warned that it would take at least two weeks before hoping to be able to observe the first effects on the curve of new contaminations.
