French Prime Minister Jean Castex announced Thursday that the country will extend the curfew to 46 million citizens on Friday at midnight. In this way, 54 apartments will be prohibited from leaving the house between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Italy has broken for the second day in a row its record of daily infections with more than 16,000 cases. Germany has registered 11,287 new cases in the last 24 hours, up from a previous record of less than 8,000. In addition, the country has removed the Canary Islands from the list of irrigated areas and from October 24, German citizens will be able to travel to the archipelago without restrictions. In Spain, the Valencian president, the socialist Ximo Puig, will propose to the Government the establishment of a curfew until December 9 from midnight to six in the morning. The epidemiological situation worsens in the country: Navarra, the Basque Country, Asturias, Castilla y León, and Cantabria have reported on Thursday the worst contagion data in a day since the start of the pandemic. This midnight the perimeter confinement of Navarra came into force, the first autonomous community to apply this measure in the second wave. The cities of Zaragoza, Huesca and Teruel have also been isolated since midnight, while La Rioja restricts the entry and exit of the community as of Friday.
