(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 22 - "With the lockdown I felt lost. Instead of bringing out my worries, I wondered if anyone was interested in me singing again".
At a creative level, the pandemic has put a strain on Laura Pausini.
"In the summer I spent three months in Romagna, I kept postponing the moment in which to start listening to the over 500 songs arrived for the next album".
Io Sì (seen) has arrived, the song - out tomorrow - which is the theme of the film "The Life Ahead / La Vita Davanti A Sé", which marks the return in front of the camera of SophiaLoren directed by her son Edoardo Ponti, in cinemas on 3, 4 and 5 November and on Netfix from 13 November.
"When I was offered this song, I understood why I had said no to other film projects so far: I was expecting to get excited like this, with a film about two people, about encounters that can change your life and can save it".
The song was also nominated for the best original song at the 2021 Oscars. "But they don't even want to think about it," says Laura.
"Io Sì" is Laura Pausini's first collaboration with DianeWarren, (11 Oscar nominations, 1 Grammy Award, 1 Emmy Award, 1 Golden Globe) and is the first unreleased for Laura Pausini after winning the last Latin Grammy in November of 2018 for the album "Fatti Sentire".
The Italian text was written by Laura herself with Niccolò Agliardi.
Five versions (as well as in Italian, the song was recorded in Spanish, Portuguese, French and English) that converge in an Ep out tomorrow.
Only the Italian one will accompany the film.
