In that sense, he declared that they are
concerned

difficulties and challenges
, not only because of the results of 2019 in terms of the instances of evaluation but also by the
educational impact of the pandemic
”.
Regarding the results in terms of understanding in subjects such as mathematics, Trotta remarked: “We are working on an
approach to mathematics
to make an axis and rethink them.
Also programming, robotics, basic sciences in schools not only in secondary, but also in primary ”.
"We have to
generate the interest
for the approach of the contents on the part of the boys", consigned.
The minister said that, as with the coronavirus pandemic, all social indicators worsened, they estimate that this also impacts learning.
And he announced that they are working on schemes for the modification of the secondary school that will start in 2021, as well as on a new learning assessment -for primary and secondary- that will be taken next year.
He also considered that "there is a direct link between
inequality and learning"
and reported that "the last few years were very hard for the whole society and in particular for adolescents in terms of poverty indicators and adolescent work", clarifying that this is a pre pandemic photo.
Only 28.6% of high school seniors achieve satisfactory or advanced performance in mathematics.

Regarding the content and performance of such a particular year for education around the world, Trotta explained that "
this year is not repeated
, but there is no automatic promotion" and that "all pending learning for 2020 will have to take place in 2021 ".
"We have decided that in these national tests, in the case of 2021, we will evaluate primary and secondary in the last stretch of 2021 to be able to see how the 2020 learning was and how it will be next year," explained the minister.
He also assured that the Ministry is monitoring the situations of private schools, that many had no choice but to close their doors.
In this regard, Trotta said: "We are very concerned with the situation of the families, so it was agreed to postpone payments until the economic situation of the families is restored."
And he continued: "We also take care of the teachers' salaries, that's why the ATP, and today we know that we have to accompany the institutions so that they can restart face-to-face classes and the economic recovery process."
Asked about the progress of a possible vaccine and the subsequent definitive return to the classroom presence, the minister considered: "When the
vaccine
is ready there must be a significant level of vaccination in the population and when we can regain the normality that we lost in March we are going to implement it in the educational system ”.

," he added, and recalled that "despite the complex moment" progress is being made "in face-to-face with protocols."
"We believe that the epidemiological reality will be much better than the one we are experiencing today," the minister closed optimistically, who is "isolated by protocol" although the test carried out was negative for coronavirus.
