The perfect gender protest: A 61-year-old man who goes out to work with skirts and heels

Mark Bryan is an American man from Germany, a 61-year-old engineer, married and a father of three - and yes, he also wears skirts and wears heels in his daily routine.

It's all part of a protest against the stereotypes about gender attire and an attempt to produce real unisex.

No wonder he already has 125,000 followers on Instagram

The last decade in the fashion industry has been characterized by back and forth movement on the gender continuum.

Suddenly, seeing men wearing women’s clothing is no longer so rare in the landscape, and thanks to Billy Porter and the Oscar-winning tuxedo dress.

The word "unisex," which has characterized mostly women wearing men's clothing, has in recent years begun to take on real meaning, and also describes the opposite situation.

Clothes become sexless and genderless and are meant for everyone.

A married man and father of three, an American living in Germany, decided to prove it and open his own private protest.

He wears skirts and defiantly wears high heels, to prove that clothes should not be identified with one gender.

The man, who has become a network anchor with an Instagram account of eight 125,000 followers, is Mark Brian, 61.

On a daily basis, he deals with robotics and engineering, and in his free time he documents his locks - which, as mentioned, include women's clothing.

"I am a straight man and happily married who loves luxury Porsche cars, beautiful women and incorporates heels and skirts into my daily wardrobe."

Indeed, he wears tight-fitting pencil skirts of sexual length or immediately at home, at work and even for recreation.

Brian started wearing women’s clothing four years ago to challenge the gender stereotypes in fashion.

"I prefer skirts over dresses, because dresses do not allow me to mix the genders. I prefer a 'masculine' look to the waist, and a non-gendered look from the waist down," he explained.

At the top of his locks he often wears button-down shirts or polo shirts, and sometimes also combines blazers and ties.

At the bottom, apart from the skirts, he wears heels of various kinds, usually stilettos in solid colors that correspond with the look, but sometimes also sandals on the heel and in winter there are also heel boots and tights.

Mark said he buys the shoes from the Lost Ink brand, which hold a wide range of sizes to fit his foot.

High heels that emphasize the twin muscles and lift the buttocks, one of the common reasons women choose to wear them, do the job several times over when it comes to Brian's built body.

"It's not always comfortable, but I like the look," he argued.

As expected, many question Brian's sexuality.

After all, in recent years the only ones who have dared to break the framework of gender attire have been men from the LGBT community.

"Sometimes I just answer the truth - I'm straight," he said. "Sometimes I also put people in their place.

Tell them - 'Would you ask a woman in a skirt and heels what her sexual preferences are?' "

Brian is married for the third time. He is now 11 years old with his current wife and she is helping him put together the locks. Wearing women's clothes, I just came to them and told them I like skirts and heels and that does not mean I'm gay. " "Some people, especially men, are surprised to find that I'm a normal guy you can talk to in a normal way."

Even during the Corona period, when his work moved itself into the home space - he did not stop dressing. And get out of the sweatshirt. Brian concluded by saying that "even though I seem to be wearing masculine shirts and feminine skirts, when I look at the full show I just see non-gendered clothes."
