Conflans attack: the information note which alerts on the concern of teachers

2020-10-23T20:01:22.814Z

The Central Territorial Intelligence Service took the pulse of the educational world after the assassination of Samuel Paty. This confidential note

"Marked", "worried", the teachers may be on vacation, the assassination of Samuel Paty is obviously in everyone's mind.

This is confirmed by a confidential four-page note from the central territorial intelligence service (SCRT) written on Thursday and to which the Parisian - Today in France had access.

This document constitutes a "probe" immersed in an environment which remains combative and "united", but which is far from serene.

The note thus alerts on "the first reactions to the attack on the unions which should quickly reactivate the debates which had begun to emerge following the presidential speech concerning the fight against separatism".

The National Union of Schools (SNE) thus regrets that “teachers are systematically suspected as soon as a parent complains […] since it is the school which must adapt to the students”.

Islamism at school: teachers break the omerta

The SNUipp-FSU union drives the point home by regretting to "justify the content of its courses in front of the police after a complaint from the parents".

This lack of support is relayed by the Les Stylos Rouges collective which affirms that their colleagues "are not protected by our ministry because they are never supported in the face of families and students who want to lay down the law".

This concern tinged with mistrust undoubtedly resonated until the defense council organized this Friday at the Elysee.

A circular is currently being drafted and will be ready before the start of the school year to "better secure schools and teachers".

What will be in this circular?

Too early to tell, but a visible and increased police presence around schools, colleges and high schools is to be expected.

Undoubtedly not sufficient as the teachers seem to apprehend this very special return to school.

"In the way of approaching secularism, expectations remain high"

"In the way of approaching secularism and religious questions, expectations remain high," confirms the editor of the note.

In addition to unfailing support from their hierarchy, they demand continuing training, in particular to better react and argue against parents or recalcitrant students.

“Especially since a moment of national meditation looms at the start of the school year, then the day of secularism on December 9.

Nobody knows today what this moment of meditation in memory of Samuel Paty will consist of, but the demands for firmness relayed by the Minister of National Education concerning the inappropriate reactions of pupils frighten some who fear according to the note " to be on the front line ”.

Even if the territorial intelligence services consider that the "liberation of speech" and in a way the end of the "no waves" is considered "necessary and beneficial", they believe that the drama of the death of Samuel Paty "places the hierarchy of the administrative apparatus at the foot of the wall ”.
