The sentence of six years of imprisonment for the former mayor of Rome Gianni Alemanno involved in one of the strands of the investigation into the Middle World has been confirmed on appeal.
The charge for Alemanno is of corruption and illegal financing.
The Attorney General Pietro Catalani had requested a reduction of the sentence to 3 years and six asking to recognize only the crime of corruption.
According to the accusation, the former mayor, who was present in the courtroom, "bent his function" to the interests of Salvatore Buzzi, the former 'ras' of the cooperatives, and of the former Nar Massimo Carminati, in exchange for almost 300 thousand euros.
Money that would have been given over a period of time ranging from 2012 to 2014.
