Miley Cyrus voted for Democratic candidate Joe Biden and his runner-up Kamala Harris in the US presidential election.
It was "an honor" to tick their names on the ballot, said the singer.
She met California Senator Harris for a live talk on Instagram.
At the beginning of the 15-minute chat, Cyrus admitted she was a little nervous about having such an important guest.
The singer and Harris spoke on topics such as social justice, protest movements, climate change, education and the corona crisis.
The senator appealed to young people to register as voters and cast their votes early, and posted a video of the conversation.
In the end, Cyrus, who has more than 116 million followers on Instagram, couldn't help but ask about the Democrat's musical taste.
The Cyrus song "Party In The USA" should also be on the list, the singer quipped on her own behalf.
Harris spontaneously called the song "Work That" by Mary J. Blige.
They recently played it in the pouring rain at an election campaign appearance in North Carolina.
The energy was unique, said Harris.
They would all have danced in the rain.
