TURIN - The exhibition 'Andy Warhol is Super Pop' opens on 24 October at the Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi: over seventy official works, photographs, serigraphs, lithographs, prints, acetates, faithful reconstructions of the environments and products that the artist loved and from which he drew inspiration.

The atmosphere of the studio will be recreated and the exact copy of the historic red sofa of the Factory, where Warhol produced most of the work and his headquarters, will be exhibited.

Each visitor can feel like a star of the sixties at the court of the artist of the moment, taking a souvenir selfie.

The exhibition, dedicated to one of the symbolic artists of the 20th century, is organized by Next Exhibition and Ono Arte, with the patronage of the Metropolitan City of Turin.

It will be open until January 31, 2021.

After a first dive into the atmosphere of the 50s / 60s, we retrace the history of Warhol, from advertising graphic designer to successful artist, with iconographic works, such as Marylin Monroe, the Self Portrait, Cow and Campbell's soup.

On show the acetates and the silk-screen printing plates from which his prints came to life and the exhibition of the collection of shots by the American photographer Fred W. McDarrah who immortalized the artist for over thirty years.

One of Warhol's most iconic works are certainly the Silver Clouds, whose replica will be present in the exhibition itinerary.

An installation consisting of balloons floating in midair and surrounding the visitor, first created in 1966 at the Leo Castelli Gallery, where McDarrah documented the installation process.
