Nadav and Daniel, Thai love story - in a battle of deliveries (Photo: Ilya Melnikov)

Nadav and Daniel - Thai love story

If you watched the last season of MKR, you're pretty sure you could not remain indifferent to Nadav and Daniel, who presented on the show an unusual and appetizing Thai cuisine.

For more than five years, the two have been running a culinary business of a mobile restaurant and presenting root cuisine from the province of Isan in northeastern Thailand.

The new reality has caused them to launch a pop-up these days that will allow everyone to finally taste their colorful and wonderful dishes.

In the pop-up, they want to create a combination between the authentic Thai cuisine, and the Israeli palate that is looking for the more popular Thai cuisine, so that you can find on the menu both.

This is reflected in dishes like Thai beef jerky, som tam, isan-style fried wings, crispy fish challah, a category of wok stews including pad ci yo shredded meat, a selection of curry dishes like northern curry kao soy containing chicken stock, coconut milk , Handmade and chicken noodles, and a dessert department that Daniel believes in and includes Lottie banana cannoli, which we have already kept an eye on.

The pop-up will only work for a month.

Avi Bitton's Dream Sandwich

Solika, Avi Bitton's deli, continued to work and provide deliveries even during the days of closure.

Bitton, who found himself, for lack of time, snatching patties from the pot here and there, putting them in the bread, and improvising the most delicious lunch in the world, just like when he was a child, wondered among himself why not share this pleasure with the customers as well.

To make the experience perfect, Bitton joined the mythological Viznitz bakery in Bnei Brak, which has already become a brand in everything related to challah.

"Viznitz's challah has a crispy sesame-blasted shell and a heart of dough that functions as a perfect gluten cloud for absorbing all the liquid and flavors of Solika's patties and the famous cuisine. To these I added secret tahini and eggplant and boom - that's how a perfect bite was born!"

So next week you can order a Solika meatball sandwich with matbucha, tahini and secret eggplant in a Viznitz challah bun with Solika sour pickles on the side and a bottle of cold rosette (NIS 54).

We know we'll do it.

Bloody Chic: Pop-up deliveries by Erez and Hanan

The collaboration that has spawned the pop-up deliveries of Meir Adoni and Yossi Sheetrit in recent months, this time recruits the equal and esteemed catering "Erez and Hanan" owned, of course, by Erez Komrovsky and his partner Hanan Ezran.

The pop-up called "Bloody Chic" will be launched in the coming days, and will be available at Batan Biss and Walt.

The menu, according to Komrovsky, will be accessible, the most Israeli there is, fun to eat at home - in the middle of the week and at family Friday dinners.

This means that you will find dishes like Komrovsky's Turkish pretzel that will be accompanied by eggplant and lima beans, the famous turmeric challah that you can dip in Harima orange mullet, the autumnal patosh salad, the Zionist ramen, the pampering tibetan pot, and lots of other delicious dishes, along with desserts of course.

The said service will be launched in the coming days, there is something to look forward to.
