2020-10-24T10:24:02.803Z

"A risk that we cannot run is that the inequalities between the territories existing in our country are added to those deriving from the effects of the pandemic". (HANDLE)

"I address a cordial greeting to all the participants in the CNA Assembly which is held in the presence of a very hard crisis, which affects sectors and workers, some more seriously as is the case for small businesses. A period of extraordinary difficulty that goes on tackled with the necessary support from Public Authorities: shared policies are needed - with the contribution of social partners and territories - for a strategy which, while tackling the pandemic and the consequent difficulties, is aimed at bridging gaps and reducing increasingly unacceptable and costly inequalities ".

This is what we read in the message that the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella sent to the president of the National Confederation of Crafts and Small and Medium Enterprises Daniele Vaccarino.

"A risk that we cannot run is that the inequalities between existing territories in our country are added to those deriving from the effects of the pandemic", says the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella.

"Even looking beyond the emergency, every project for restarting and sustainable growth inevitably passes through the ability of each institution to innovate and undertake virtuous paths and, at the same time, the ability of the system to offer opportunities to those who today has less, to intervene on environmental imbalances and territorial inequalities ".

"An extraordinary effort in terms of investments and training must guide the necessary transformations, helping companies to redesign production chains and methods and people to acquire skills, the social capital that is essential to build the future", reiterates the president.

"The European Union, which has shown that it knows how to grasp the delicacy of the situation, has made available tools that make it possible to mobilize huge resources. It is an opportunity that must be seized to modernize the country", says the Head of State.
