So at ANSA, AnnaMaria Lusardi at the head of the Financial Education Committee, presenting the week for social security education that will take place from Monday 26 to 31 October as part of the month of Financial Education.
A project, explains Lusardi, which looks above all to the new generations "because when it comes to social security education you have to start with young people and you have to do it with new languages".
Precisely for this reason the Committee launched this year "An idea for the future" a competition for university students for the creation of an app for social security literacy for children.
"time is constraining", says Lusardi, because all the more in the face of the crisis caused by the pandemic we must have greater capacity for reaction.
The risk of longevity (the prolongation of life of subjects who enjoy an annuity beyond the average life expectancy) becomes greater in the face of a crisis and everyone must be aware of it in time.
"Italians have the equivalent of national GDP on current accounts, but to invest you need to know. And we cannot return to normal because normal was not already going well; Italian families were financially fragile even before the pandemic".
