The breathtaking return of Maïwenn, the revelation Nicolas Maury, funny werewolves. Here are our favorite films among the new releases at the

Not to be missed this week: “DNA” a moving… and funny drama with Maïwenn;

"Rag boy" with Nicolas Maury and Nathalie Baye;

funny werewolves in the animated film “100% wolf” and an unrecognizable Catherine Frot in the film “Under the stars of Paris”.

WE LOVE

"DNA": vibrant

Neige, a single mother of three, regularly reunites with her family around Emir, the beloved Algerian grandfather.

Sick, installed in a retirement home, he remains despite everything the pillar of the tribe.

When he dies, the family breaks up and Neige enters a deep identity crisis.

She will then do a DNA test, then reconnect with her Algerian roots… The beginning of the film does not skimp on the tear gas, but “DNA” is a powerful, inspired, tender, moving drama… And funny: the scenes of the choice of the coffin and the funeral are squeaky and irresistible.

“ADN” speaks with both raw and lyrical accuracy of mourning, of the family, with its traumas and conflicts, and of course of its origins.

Around a solar Maïwenn, the other actors are truly impressive.

EDITOR'S RATING: 4/5

“ADN”

, French drama by Maïwenn.

With Maïwenn, Fanny Ardant, Louis Garrel, Dylan Robert… 1h30.

"Chiffon boy": fragile attention

Jeremy, an eternal tortured teenager whose father committed suicide, sees the sky falling to pieces on his head.

The film he was to make collapses and his sick jealousy explodes his sentimental story with Albert, a veterinarian, who shares his life.

In distress, he chooses to return to Limousin, his native land, where his mother lives.

First feature film by actor Nicolas Maury, one of the favorite faces of the public in the series "Ten percent" on France 2, this very pretty film in the form of a baring is often plunged into a chiaroscuro, almost symbolic of what the young man is going through.

Maury pushed all the sliders on his character - and it was risky - to make him a stray child within himself.

Some dialogues grab your heart and Nathalie Baye, as fair as it is moving, once again finds here one of the strongest roles of her career.

EDITOR'S RATING: 4/5

"Rag boy"

, French dramatic comedy by Nicolas Maury, with Nicolas Maury, Nathalie Baye, Arnaud Valois, Théo Christine, Laure Calamy, Jean-Marc Barr… 1h50.

WE LOVE A LOT

"100% wolf": removed

Freddy and his family are humans, but every full moon night they transform into friendly werewolves.

One evening, Freddy's father, who was the leader of the pack, accidentally dies.

Freddy is tipped to replace him, but on the night of his first werewolf transformation, he actually becomes a tiny white and fuchsia pink poodle.

Freddy will then have to prove his courage to his clan ... We must not stop at the unsightly graphics of the characters, "100% wolf" tells, on a frantic pace, a beautiful story of emancipation.

Over action scenes spiced with humor and emotion, the film also praises the difference.

And underlines, precisely, that one should not trust appearances ...

EDITOR'S RATING: 3.5 / 5

'100% Wolf'

, Australian fantasy animated film by Alexs Stadermann.

1h35.

From 6 years old.

WE LOVE IT

"Under the stars of Paris": pretty

Homeless for many years, Christine lives under a bridge, near the banks of the Seine, in the greatest solitude.

One day, a little boy arrives in his shelter.

Suli does not speak French and he has lost his mother, who was subject to an expulsion order from the territory.

After trying to chase him away, Christine will finally help him search for his mother through the streets of Paris… “Under the stars of Paris” is a tale full of humanity and a lovely story of solidarity.

It takes a few minutes to get used to the hoarse voice of an unrecognizable Catherine Frot and we regret a somewhat dry production, which prevents the film from really taking off.

But this very current drama offers moments of poetry and a very moving ending.

EDITOR'S RATING: 3/5

"Under the stars of Paris"

, French dramatic comedy by Claus Drexel.

With Catherine Frot, Mahamadou Yaffa… 1h30.
