A Chinese study claims to have found a connection between a man's voice and his loyalty.

The following men should be the better partners.

  • There are countless theses on the subject of loyalty.

Man is not made for monogamy, is one of them.

Another assumption: men are cheating on their partners more often than women.

  • A team of Chinese researchers has now taken on the question of which men are more likely to be infidelity.

  • You want to have found an essential connection between a man's voice and his loyalty to his partner

    .

Exact numbers are not available, but anonymous surveys give piquant insights: According to an elite partner survey from 2020, almost every third woman (31 percent) stated that they had already been unfaithful in a committed relationship.

Of the 5,600 people surveyed, 27 percent of men said that they had cheated on their partner before.

Researchers from China investigated the phenomenon of "infidelity in committed relationships" - and discovered an interesting connection

Are men with deep voices unfaithful?

Yong Zheng from Southwest University in Chongqing and his team of Chinese psychologists published a finding in the journal “Personality and Individual Differences” that is likely to make many insecure.

They found

that men with a particularly deep voice have a more pronounced tendency to affair than men of the

same

sex who have a higher voice.

"We have found out that the properties of the voice can provide reliable indications of infidelity and the strength of the couple bond," the researchers say, as cited by Wissenschaft-aktuell.de.

The affair - and why it happens so often

In the book "The Psychology of Infidelity" (commercial link), Shirley Glass explains how affairs can even arise in happy relationships through almost imperceptible border crossings, where the traps lurk and how one can deal with the traumatizing event "infidelity".

They selected 254 heterosexual Chinese students aged 18 to 26 years for their publication.

They had to pronounce five given words that were recorded.

The audio frequencies were then compared with the standardized questionnaires that the students had to fill out.

The questions asked included attitudes towards infidelity and the quality of the current partner relationship

.

The essence of the evaluation: the lower the pitch and the lower the pitch fluctuations, the more likely were unfaithful behavior and weak ties in the relationship.

According to the researchers, a possible explanation could be the high testosterone levels in men with deep voices.

In the case of women, however, there was no connection between the pitch of the voice and an increased tendency to infidelity.
