Business Traveler Magazine has published a list of the best airlines in the world according to global and regional lists.
Surprisingly, the Israeli airline EL AL entered the fourth place in the ranking of the best airlines in the Middle East for 2020.
The surprise comes mainly due to the fact that since March, El Al has been almost inactive following the Corona crisis.
The company operated very few special passenger flights and mainly cargo flights.
Leading El Al in the rankings were Qatar Airways in first place, Etihad of Abu Dhabi in second place and Emirates of Dubai in third place.
It is important to mention that most companies in the world significantly reduced their activity during the Corona period, although very few companies have almost completely shut down their aircraft fleet for such a long period as El Al.
However, this is a prestigious ranking in the world of aviation and EL AL's entry into fourth place over the glorious airlines of the Middle East is still an impressive achievement.
The first place in the world ranking was taken by Qatar Airways, the second place is Singapore Airlines, the third place is Emirates and the fourth place is the Hong Kong airline that routinely operates flights on the Hong Kong route Tel Aviv - Cathay Pacific.
The British airline EasyJet leads the ranking of global low-cost carriers, Air Asia is in second place, JET2 in third place and American Southwest in fourth place.
The best airline in North America is Delta and the crew of the plane that received the highest score in the world is that of Singapore Airlines.
