New record for infections in the last 24 hours in Italy. The positives are 24,991 (yesterday they were 21,994). The dead are 205 (yesterday they were 221), according to data from the Ministry of Health. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 28 - New record for infections in the last 24 hours in Italy.

The dead are 205 (yesterday they were 221), according to data from the Ministry of Health.


   In Italy there are currently more positives than cured by Covid: according to data from the Health Minister, in fact, the positives (including hospitalized patients with symptoms, intensive care and patients in homecare isolation) are 276,457 against the 275,404,000 healed since the beginning of the pandemic.


    The figure of the currently positive has increased a lot in the last few days: only on 20 October were 142,739 in front of 255,005 healed.

On August 25, for example, the positives were 19,714 compared to 206,015 healed.


    It is an absolute record of tampons made in 24 hours in Italy: according to the data of the Ministry of Health there were 198,952, over 24,000 more than yesterday.

The ratio of swabs performed and new coronavirus positives found remained stable at 12.5%.


   New leap of patients in intensive care for Covid-19 in Italy.

There are 125 more in the last 24 hours (yesterday the increase was the same, +127), for a total of 1,536 people in intensive care.


    In the ordinary wards there are now 14,981 patients, an increase of 1,026.

The current positives reached 276,457, 21,367 more than yesterday.

Of these, 259,940 are people in home isolation.
