Covid: Sweden, almost 2,000 cases in 24 hours

There have been 1,980 new coronavirus cases in Sweden in the past 24 hours, a record number after the one recorded yesterday. This was announced by the Swedish Health Agency. There were also nine other victims. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 28 - In the last 24 hours in Sweden there have been 1,980 new cases of coronavirus, a record number after the one recorded yesterday.

This was announced by the Swedish Health Agency.


   There were also nine other victims.


    Sweden, the only country in the world not to have implemented the lockdown against the Covid-19 pandemic, has a much higher per capita death rate than its northern neighbors but lower than that of some European countries, such as Spain and Great Britain.
