(ANSA) - MILAN, 28 OCT - A journey into Tiepolo's pictorial universe from his early years in Venice to his international training, with Milan as the fulcrum of his activity.

The luminous blue of the Venetian master's masterpieces arrives for the first time in Milan with the exhibition 'Tiepolo.

Venice, Milan, Europe ', presented at the Gallerie d'Italia - PiazzaScala, the Milanese museum of Intesa Sanpaolo.

The exhibition, the first dedicated to the artist in the Lombard capital, which he considered a sort of second homeland, will be open to the public from Friday 30 October until 21 March 2021.

"I understand that this is one of the few major exhibitions that they manage to set up in Italy now", said GiovanniBazoli, president emeritus of Intesa Sanpaolo, who reiterated the "social responsibility" that warns the Group, not only in the face of social emergencies, but also of culture.

The itinerary - curated by Fernando Mazzocca and Alessandro Morandotti, with the general coordination of Gianfranco Brunelli - includes about seventy works by Tiepolo and his contemporaries, some from important international museums such as the Prado in Madrid and the National Gallery in London.

An important role, also thanks to new technologies, is played by the frescoes made in Milan in the Archinto, Casati Dugnani and Clerici palaces, not to mention that for the first time, thanks to sensational restorations, the public will have the opportunity to admire the detached frescoes of Sant 'Ambrogio and Palazzo Gallarati Scotti.
