Few guests, a huge wedding dress: Berlusconi's son got married - and this is what it looks like

The son of the former Italian prime minister was married to his heart's choice at a small wedding at a church in Milan.

With only 40 guests, minus the father who was hospitalized for corona disease, but with groom-bride outfits that would not embarrass any glittering event in the days before the plague.

The corona plague may have changed the way weddings are held, but it has not stopped people from getting married.

This basically creates an unresolved tension between the need to celebrate a huge glittering wedding and the desire to get married, even in accordance with the stringent restrictions due to the spread of the virus.

Those who had to deal with this tension this month were Luigi Berlusconi, the son of former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, and his choice of heart, Federico Pomgali.

The two got married in a limited ceremony according to the instructions, but went all out when it came to their locks.

The wedding between the 32-year-old Brolosconi and the 31-year-old Pomgali was held earlier this month at the enchanting church of St. Ambraggio in Milan.

Only 40 guests were invited to the event, most of them relatives, who were required to wear face masks throughout the event.

Prominent in his absence was the father, former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, who was hospitalized at the time of the wedding after contracting the corona virus.

However, the couple did not want to wait any longer and decided to get married anyway.

The marriage proposal was last Christmas, followed by a huge wedding planned for the summer.

Due to the plague it was postponed to October, and this time the two were unwilling to give up.

After the religious ceremony at a church in Milan, the couple and guests proceeded to dinner and a party at a mansion in the province of Monza-Brianza, located north of Milan.

If you were to expect that in a wedding of this kind, in the atmosphere of the corona and with a few guests, the wedding dress and the groom's suit would be solid - this really was not the case.

When it comes to choosing locks, the couple did not let the epidemic dictate the tone.

Federica wore a huge wedding dress designed by Alessandra Rich with an extra large bottom, lace sleeves with puffy shoulders and a long tulle veil.

Some have said that the dress was inspired by the iconic dress worn by the late princess Diana at her wedding.

Looking at the side, Federica's chosen dress may seem ornate, grotesque and completely detached from the vibe of recent years, but when you look at the details, you discover a world and its fullness.

From the shiny ivory gloves, through the romantic collar, the delicate handmade embellishments on the lace in the puffy sleeves and even the bow tie on the pink high heels.

All together it creates a perhaps crowded, but sweet and romantic look that strikes a chord with the word "bride".

The groom Luigi wore a three-piece tuxedo suit in black, with a purple tie for a refreshing splash of color that bounces off the look.

The bride's second dress moved us more - minimalist, precise and accurate to the spirit of the time.

A white strapless dress, also designed by Alessandra Rich, with a deep slit and ruffles embellished at the bottom and neckline.

To the dress she added classic stilettos and a necklace with a presence and looked like a dream bride.

While the first look completely exudes the scent of an Italian wedding from previous centuries, the second look is updated by the definition of a bride in 2020.

And maybe that's all the fun - the ability to play and move on the scale between modern and nostalgic, with two dresses in contrasting styles.

Broulosconi and Pomagli met in 2012, when they were students together at the private university Buconi in Milan.

He avoids social networks, but she actually tries to be active.

Maybe it's related to her job - founder of a PR company in the field of lifestyle. On Instagram she often shows off her photogenic relationship with brulosconi and Italian chic dripping blocks. So it is no wonder that she chose her for the big day of her life.
