Hurricane Zeta strikes Louisiana

It is the fifth of the season, previous record in 2002 (ANSA) Zeta, a Category 2 out of 5 hurricane, struck near Cocodrie, about 100km from New Orleans on the southeastern Louisiana coast, where it is expected to bring heavy rain and devastating winds of nearly 180km per hour. Zeta is the fifth hurricane to hit the state this year: the previous record dates back to 2002.
