"What the implementation of a reconfinement of at least four weeks makes impossible is to be able to go to the end of the organization of this event, despite the commitment of the teams and the best will in the world"

, continues the text.

“Of course, the blow is hard after having invested so much desire and energy in this edition,

underline the organizers.

But sometimes you have to know how to press pause and get in tune with the environment in which you are part.

This is also where the spirit of responsibility and solidarity is played out. ”

Unveiling its programming in mid-October, the festival had specified that this 42nd edition would be "masked, seated and distanced" and organized in smaller rooms due to the health crisis.

In a reduced format due to health constraints, the Trans were to present 42 groups and two dance companies this year, half less than usual, with 18 nationalities represented all the same.

In 2019, the Trans Musicales de Rennes attracted 56,000 people.

In all, 125 concerts were performed by 84 groups and two dance companies over the five days of the festival, pioneering the music scene.
