(ANSA) - TOKYO, OCTOBER 29 - The Tokyo Stock Exchange starts trading in decline, following the global contraction of the stock markets, the fears of an expansion of coronavirus infections after the lockdowns announced in France and Germany.

The Nikkei reference index fell by 0.69% to 23.256.96, losing 161 points.

On the currency market, the yen continues to strengthen against the dollar at 104.20 and the euro at 123.55.
