(ANSA-AFP) - ROME, OCTOBER 31 - The death toll in Turkey worsens following the strong earthquake, magnitude 7.0, which yesterday hit the depths of the Aegean Sea, about 14 km off the Greek island of Samos . But it is Turkey that records the worst toll with at least 24 dead and 800 injured, while in Samos the confirmed dead are two students who were overwhelmed by the wall of a collapsed building. The fortesisma caused a mini-tsunami with the waves sweeping shops and homes on the Turkish coast.
