Infections still above 31 thousand, second wave deaths record 297

The infections for Covid in Italy are still increasing, they are 31,758, according to the bulletin of the Ministry of Health; the increase in casualties is 297 in 24 hours, the highest in the second wave so far. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 31 - The infections for Covidin Italy are still increasing, they are 31,758, according to the bulletin of the Minister of Health;

the increase in casualties is 297 in 24 hours, the highest in the second wave so far.

New record of tampons made in one day: in the last 24 hours there are 215,886, still 800 more than the maximum reached yesterday.

The total cases are now 679,430, the deaths 38,618.

Intensive care patients increase by 97 units bringing the total to 1,843, hospitalized with symptoms of 972 and now 17,966, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

There are 331,577 people in home isolation, an increase of 24,531 compared to yesterday.


    The increase of the currently positive is of 25,600 which bring the total of patients to 351,386.

Much smaller, however, is the increase in the healed: 5,859 in the last 24 hours for a total of 289,426.

At the top of the regions with the highest number of new positives found in the last 24 hours, Lombardy is always on the rise, reaching 9,000 infected again (8,919).

Campania follows with 3,669, then Piedmont 2,887, Veneto2,697, Tuscany 2,540, Lazio 2,289.
