Yahoo brings its first smartphone to market.
The company acquired by the American mobile operator Verizon launches the Yahoo Mobile Zte Blade A3Y in the US, an entry level device produced by the Chinese Zte.
The smartphone costs around $ 50 and is offered to Yahoo Mobile users.
The historic web portal born 26 years ago in Sunnyvale, California, since last March is in fact also a virtual mobile operator, which relies on Verizon's 4G networks.

The Yahoo-branded smartphone, in the company's historic purple color, has a 5.45-inch screen, a single 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. The processor is a Mediatek, with 2 GB of Ram and 32 GB of expandable internal memory. The 2,660 mAh battery is removable. The device has pre-installed Yahoo apps, from email to weather, passing on news, sports and finance.
