While the Scientific Council fears that the 2nd wave will not be the last in France and Europe, health indicators continue

Three days after the start of the "re-containment", the Covid-19 epidemic continues to rage in France.

According to the latest report from Public Health France and Géodes unveiled Monday evening, a new record of contaminations was reached on Monday, November 2.

We are at 52,518 this Monday, against 33,000 seven days ago.

In addition, 418 people have died in the last 24 hours in hospital in France.

Unheard of since April 20.

This brings the number of deaths linked to the new coronavirus in hospital to 25,784 since last February.

The level of occupancy of intensive care units also continues to rise.

430 new serious cases have been treated in the last 24 hours.

That is 3730 in total.

These figures should be taken with care and hasty comparisons should be avoided.

At the start of the week, many establishments carry out catch-ups of data records dating from the weekend.

Not surprisingly, however, we note a sharp worsening of the indicators compared to last Monday.

There were then 257 additional deaths and 357 admissions to intensive care.
