(ANSA) - ROME, 02 NOV - The manufacturing SMEs index, which registers the confidence of purchasing managers in Italy, rises to 53.8 points in October from 53.2 points in September.
It is the highest level since March 2018. The indicator, detected by Ihs Markit, signals growth for the fourth month of the row, positioning itself above 50, which represents the threshold between expansion and contraction of the cycle.
Also in Germany there is a strengthening with the SME index of manufacturing activity which marks an acceleration in October going to 58.2 points from 56.4 in September. In France, the manufacturing PMI remained substantially stable in October at 51.3 points compared to 51.2 in September. For the entire Eurozone, the manufacturing PMI index rises to its highest levels from July 2018 to October with a rise to 54.8 points from 53.7 in September.
