Cassation sentences Verdini to six and a half years

As part of the trial for the collapse of Credito Fiorentino (ANSA)Former Senator Denis Verdini was sentenced to six years of imprisonment by the Supreme Court as part of the trial for the collapse of the Florentine Cooperative Credit. The part of the sentence equal to four months for the fraud on publishing funds was extinguished by prescription. Verdini on appeal had been sentenced to 6 years and ten months.
