Twelve years were between Sean Connery and Harrison Ford, in "Indiana Jones" they played father and son.

After the death of the "man of men", Ford is now mourning the 90-year-old.

"My God, we had fun," said the 78-year-old Ford in a statement published by Variety about the filming of "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade".

In the third installment of the adventure saga, published in 1989, Connery played the father of the adventurous archaeologist Henry Jones Junior, played by Harrison Ford.

It was a real pleasure to drive Connery in the sidecar of a Russian motorcycle over bumpy, winding mountain roads, Ford recalled from a shooting scene.

"Rest in peace, dear friend," added the actor.

George Lucas: "Great luck" shooting with Connery

Sean Connery died on Saturday in his adopted home in the Bahamas with his family. The Scottish actor became known worldwide primarily for his role as "James Bond" in the 007 flick.

"Indiana Jones" creator George Lucas is grateful that he was "very lucky" to work with Connery.

As Indy's father, the actor will always have a special place in his heart, wrote Lucas on the Lucasfilm website.
