- WASHINGTON, 03 NOV - The match between Donald Trump and Joe Bidensi plays out in 14 key states that collectively assign 197 top voters.
This is where you decide who will lead the White House for the next four years.
To win it in the US electoral system it is not enough to win the popular vote but, state by state, it is necessary to secure at least 270 electors out of the 538 who will form the electoral college in charge of formally electing the president.
According to the average of the main polls calculated by the RealClearPolitics site, the Democratic candidate would have already secured 216 major voters, those of the states where the victory is safe or almost safe, from New York to California, from Illinois to Virginia. Trump, on the other hand, for now could count on 125 big voters, mostly in the southern states, from Kansas to Mississippi, from Louisiana to Arkansas.
Among the 14 states in the balance of these 2020 presidential elections that award the highest tally in terms of big electorate are Texas (38), Florida (29), Pennsylvania (20), Ohio (18), Michigan (16) , Georgia (16), North Carolina (15), Arizona (11), Wisconsin (10), Minnesota (10).
