Agreement reached between Alitalia and the trade unions, in the meeting that took place at the Ministry of Labor, on the new extension of the extraordinary
redundancy
fund until 23 September 2021. The new fund, which will affect Alitalia and Cityliner employees, is
triggered by 6,828 workers.
The numbers requested by the company at the start of the procedure for the new cigs therefore remain unchanged.
The new fund concerns a total of 6,622 employees of Alitalia Sai and another 206 of Cityliner. Specifically, for Alitalia the shock absorber affects 3,339 flight crew workers (458 captains, 566 pilots, 2,315 cabin crew employees) and 3,283 ground employees. For Cityliner, on the other hand, the cigs concerns 204 sailors (41 captains, 58 pilots and 105 flight attendants) and 2 ground crew employees. The commissioner's decision to ask for a new extension of the cash was taken because, with the "continuation of the Covid 19 emergency - it was explained in the communication of the initiation of the procedure - the company is still in need of continuing along the connected cigs path. to the administration of the commissioner, with the extended modalities recently shared with the social partners, persisting, in addition to the physiological problems that led to the administration of the commissioner, conditions of exceptional and unpredictable difficulties connected to the company activity ".
