Apple closes all Apple Stores in the Red Regions, especially in Piedmont and Lombardy, as the Californian company has no stores in Valle d'Aosta and Calabria.
The other shops on the Peninsula, on the other hand, will close on weekends and will serve by appointment.
The Apple online store obviously remains operational, with home delivery and assistance.
"Due to the current Covid-19 situation in some of the communities in which we operate, we are temporarily closing our stores," Apple said in a statement.
No reopening date has been planned for the stores in Piedmont and Lombardy, Apple says, explaining that it "carefully monitors the evolution of the situation". To close their doors are the five Lombard stores - Piazza Liberty in Milan, Fiordaliso in Rozzano (MI), Carosello in Carugate (MI), Il Leone in Brescia and Oriocenter in Orio al Serio (BG) - and the two Turin stores in Via Roma and Grugliasco.
