First posthumous album with 7 unreleased tracks comes out. We work in docu (ANSA)

The Morricone unknown, sometimes even to the family, the experimental Morricone, the secret Morricone.

Come "Segreto" is the title of the posthumous album that will be released tomorrow, November 6th, all over the world with the Decca Records label and the Italian CAM Sugar on cd and double vinyl, a few days after what would have been his 92 / o birthday, 10 November, if the Maestro in this sad 2020 had not taken leave for the last time from the stage of life on 6 July.

On December 4th, then, a deluxe edition will be released with a single that brings back the voice of Ennio Morricone during his work sessions: a puzzle of cuts with his comments, his indications to the technicians, the "anchors" and "let's do it again. "," I think it goes "and" I recommend the level of sounds ", the extemporaneous tests of the artists.

We are also working hard on a documentary that could be released in the next few days.

A collection, the first posthumous, with seven unpublished pieces, which wants to be a tribute and a recognition to the greatness of the Oscar-winning composer, born - in agreement with the Morricone family - from a search in the historical archives of the Master's never-published Pearl Sugar .

There is no room for the famous music of Once Upon a Time in America, The Mission or Cinema Paradiso.

It is the rare and forgotten pieces, the recovered alternative versions, the most eccentric and hidden genius that make "Morricone Segreto" a unique work that explores perhaps the artist's richest creative phase, that between the end of the 1960s and the early 1980s.

It is the Morricone you do not expect, in a sonic journey with acid colors, characterized by mysterious voices, fuzz guitars, ethereal strings, disturbing synths and modern grooves that seem to anticipate sounds yet to come and already harnessed on the score of the brilliant musician, author of over 600 soundtracks, which has always been well ahead of the trends.

The collection, curated by producer Pierpaolo De Sanctis, includes extracts from genre films, Italian thrillers, French noir from the 1970s, but also experimental Italian works.

Among the selected titles "Him For Her" (1971), "Stark System" (1980), "La Smagliatura" (1975), "Il Clan Dei Siciliani" (1969), Stories of life and crime "(1975)." We have worked on the soundtracks of films that have been less successful, but that does not mean that music is less important ", Filippo Sugar, CEO of Sugar Music had already explained in some interviews.

" Listening to Morricone Segreto brings me back to electrifying moment in which I listened to Morricone's music for the first time - says the saxophonist and jazz composer John Zorn -.

Each track carries with it the Maestro's urgent sense of discovery, his glorious lyricism, his lively sense of humor, his intense orchestrations and his most mischievous spirit.

This is Morricone in his most dazzling form and his amazing brand is always recognizable.

It is timeless music.

Morricone is alive and well in this exciting collection of rare masterpieces. "
