Vox cries out against the budget to prevent sexist aggressions: "It is an infamous waste"

2020-11-06T18:15:56.883Z

Deputy Carla Toscano maintains that the Government "overstates" sexist violence, in the midst of a row with senior Equality officials

Why does the Ministry of Equality exist ?, the women of Vox ask themselves: to spread the “hatred of men” and “implant” an “absolutely totalitarian feminism”, “insane”, “ideologized”, “sectarian”, “exclusive "," Monstrous "and" liberticidal ";

a feminism that thrives on “cultural Marxism” and “absurd paranoias”.

The thesis has been shelled, one by one, three deputies of the far-right party to attack in Congress the high officials of the ministry who explained their budgets this Friday.

Not even programs to prevent gender-based violence have been saved from the tirades of the parliamentarians, "an infamous waste in the midst of the pandemic."

The anger was served and the Secretary of State for Equality, Noelia Vera, from Unidas Podemos, has not fallen short either: she has accused Vox of encouraging "political and moral violence."

That the Ministry of Equality has a budget of 451 million euros for next year constitutes an “affront to the Spanish”.

This is how the deputy Lourdes Méndez Monasterio has opened the offensive, scandalized that the Government plans to increase the funds dedicated to equality policies by 157% next year: "They spend the money of the Spanish in their ideological delusions."

  • The law of sexual freedom arrives: silence is not a yes

Of the total budget of the ministry, 180 million are allocated to programs to prevent gender violence, a way, according to Méndez Monasterio, of "spending the money that we do not have to promote confrontation between men and women."

His partner Carla Toscano has riveted the argument: "They come here to show off their budget, which is nothing more than spending the money of the Spanish on a problem that, although tragic, you do not stop oversizing to justify your beach bars."

Covered with a Legion mask, Toscano has raised his voice against this "infamous waste", this "immense expenditure of public money" in "campaigns to say that man is violent by nature" and "indoctrinate our children in schools ”.

Vox's third striker, María Ruiz Solás, has added another reason for scandal: that money from European funds is used to finance these programs.

The deputies of the far-right party also blame the ministry led by Irene Montero for forgetting about other types of discrimination.

Méndez Monasterio does not understand that plans to prosecute human trafficking for sexual exploitation focus only on women, which for her is proof that "they do not care about children or men."

Toscano, for his part, has reproached the ministry for not dealing with "the persecution of Catholics, which is the greatest in the world now."

"How can they say that gender violence does not exist?"

The tension has been rising little by little in the Equality Commission of the Congress, especially after the angry reply of the Secretary of State Noelia Vera.

“What you are doing with the Ministry workers and with the minister is political violence, harassment, moral violence.

Have you seen on social networks the times that they call you a whore and say that you are there because of your husband? ”, Vera countered.

“With 38 murdered this year, how can you say that gender violence does not exist?

Are they aware of the damage they are doing to society?

From there, with the climate so heated, protests, interruptions and calls to order from the president of the commission, the socialist Pilar Cancela, who has asked to remove some of the words of the parliamentarians from the session book by Vox.

The Government delegate against gender violence, Victoria Rosell, has also confronted Toscano: “You accuse me of inciting hatred against Vox, when you are accusing me of inciting hatred against men.

But do you have more dignity than I do?

Or is it classism? "

The ruckus has failed to hide Vox's absolute loneliness in this matter.

There have been so many coincidences between the others that Vera has ended up dedicating high praise to the deputy of Citizens Sara Giménez.

The PP has questioned the increased spending on high positions and advisers that the creation of the ministry entails, but without discussing the general objectives of equality policies.

Only the extreme right is in the battle, “the only voice of Parliament”, Toscano has boasted, “which denounces the injustices and falsehoods of gender ideology”.
