Johnny Depp has formalized the farewell to the role of Grindelwald that was assigned to him in the third film episode of the saga 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them', based on the work of JK Rowling, following the recent defeat before the British justice on the case of the domestic violence attributed to him by his ex-wife Amber Heard.
This was announced by the American actor himself explaining that it was the Warner production that asked him to give up the role, basically firing him.
The actor agreed, as he explains in an official note. Johnny Depp confirmed, as announced immediately by his lawyers that he would also appeal against what he called "the surreal verdict" with which the London High Court rejected his libel suit against the tabloid Sun - that the 'he branded a marital "thug" - and on the contrary authenticated Heard's allegations against him as "substantially true". The Warner Bros, producer of the film, has for its part "thanked Johnny" and has made it known from the US that the part of Depp will be reassigned through "a new casting".
