Shit happens.
This apparently also applies to the naming of a digital learning platform in Schleswig-Holstein.
The portal under the URL sh.itslearning has been making fun of since the weekend.
Schleswig-Holstein's SPD state chairman and education politician Serpil Midyatli tweeted on Sunday that "the unsuccessful name for the new learning portal in Schleswig-Holstein is somehow symptomatic of the performance of the education minister during the pandemic".
The criticized minister Karin Prien (CDU) dismissed this a little later as "Pennälerhumor".
A spokesman for the ministry said that "the fact that the address can also be read as shit's'learning may be a thigh-throb for some, but is not a factor in the success of the project".
As of October 30, 260 schools and more than 125,000 pupils and teachers in the country were already connected to this system.
The learning management system itself is called "its learning" and is used in various federal states.
The internet link "Sh.itslearning" for the north is a descriptive domain name as a combination of the country code SH and the provider's domain, said the ministry spokesman.
In the same way, the platform in the Hanseatic city of Bremen can be reached at hb.itslearning.com.
The North Rhine-Westphalian state capital Düsseldorf, in turn, relies on lhd.itslearning.com.
He does not understand the criticism and this Pennälerhumor, writes a Twitter user: "What matters is what comes out!"
