The police and the public order office have combed a hotel in Cologne that has hosted numerous tourists despite the corona protective measures in place.
The operator and 22 of 43 guests now face high fines, the city announced on Monday.
Travel for tourist purposes is currently prohibited due to the corona pandemic.
The tourists were expelled from the hotel.
One room was also used for prostitution, which is currently also prohibited.
A prostitute was taken into custody by the police.
Fines of up to 5000 euros
She received a criminal complaint.
The registration forms in the hotel were only filled out with the first and last name of the guests.
The hotel operator faces a fine of up to 5000 euros, the tourists fines of up to 250 euros.
