(ANSA) - MILAN, NOV 9 - From 2021 the Just Eat riders will also be hired in Italy with an employee contract and will have an hourly wage and all the protections ensured by a subordinate employment relationship.

"We think it is an added value to have riders who deliver with us as employees and, above all, fully protected from the contractual point of view" declared Daniele Contini, Country Manager of Just Eat in Italy.

Just Eat will also introduce the "Scoober" model in our country, which frames the riders as employees, allowing them to have more advantages and protections and maintaining flexibility and the possibility of operating by combining study and other activities.

The pay will be on an hourly basis and not linked to single deliveries, on which an additional bonus will be assessed.

In smaller cities, riders will be able to operate with their own vehicles and a full supply of safety devices, as well as branded clothing and a delivery backpack provided by Just Eat, in larger cities, such as Rome and Milan, hubs will be set up to cover in the heart of the city, where riders will be able to collect and use, for their own shift, only totally sustainable vehicles such as electric scooters or Just Eat e-bikes, tools for deliveries such as helmets, jackets and rucksacks.

They will be joined by riders who operate with their own means, especially in areas outside the center and with the possibility of choosing during the recruitment application phase.
