Following the results of the US presidential election, actor Alec Baldwin concludes his role on "Saturday Night Live" in which he played the role of President Trump.

"I had fun, but do not think I've ever been so happy to lose a job," Baldwin tweeted on Twitter, " will console myself by going to be our president that chirps twice my weight ... now my wish is that all those who voted - will keep his commitment and also vote in the 2022 midterm elections. "the 62-year-old actor is known and is a passionate democrat highly critical of the outgoing president.

Baldwin joined To Saturday Night Live as a guest star in the 42nd season of the veteran show, in the fall of 2016, to play Trump. His casting was quite surprising and garnered a lot of attention. Because of the great media interest in Trump, Baldwin was called to the flag by series creator Lauren Michaels, his close friend.

After Trump's election victory in November 2016, Baldwin continued to play him in many episodes of the show until he was officially recognized by the American Academy of Television as a supporting actor on Saturday Night Live.

He even won an Emmy Award for this role in 2017.

Even before joining the show to play Trump, Baldwin is the pinnacle of guest appearances on the satire show, and he has directed it 17 times.

At the end of the episode that aired after last week's election (an episode that will air this coming Saturday on Yes), Baldwin waved a sign that read "About Nothing."

When it turns out that Trump failed to get elected to a second term, Baldwin hangs his wig.

Two guest actors who will probably get more screen time on Saturday Night Live because of the election results are Jim Carrey, who plays Joe Biden, and the show's graduate Mia Rudolph, who plays Vice President Camela Harris.
