(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 10 - The bonus of up to 500 euros arrives for the ultra-broadband Internet subscription associated with the purchase of a tablet or PC.
The voucher, born on the wave of smart working and distance learning required by the Covid emergency, is not universal like the mobility bonus but is intended for citizens with Isee less than 20,000 euros, thus reaching, according to the analysts of the telecommunications market, a potential for about 400 thousand families.
However, the government intends to expand soon also to higher income brackets, as well as to businesses, hitherto excluded from the measure.
The bonus consists of a discount on the subscription fee for ultra-broadband connectivity services in the event of new activations of fixed network users and on the supply of a personal computer or tablet.
To obtain it, it is necessary to apply directly to one of the accredited operators who have submitted offers approved by Infratel Italia, the Mise company in charge of implementing the government's broadband and ultra-broadband plans.
The distribution of 500 euros varies according to the offer of the operator with limits set by the legislation: the discount on connectivity services can be worth between 200 and 400 euros, while that on a personal computer or tablet can be included between 100 and 300 euros.
The two channels travel together: the contribution for the purchase of a PC or tablet is in fact only paid in the case of simultaneous activation of the connectivity service.
To obtain the benefit, no registration is required on websites managed by Infratel Italia, nor has a clickday been prepared.
The mechanism is in fact that of direct discount at the time of purchase.
"Today's is a first step: vouchers for businesses and families with Isee up to 50 milaeuro will arrive in the next few months", announced the undersecretary of Mise Gian PaoloManzella.
