While the hotels in Eilat and the Dead Sea are closed, the B & Bs that opened about two weeks ago enjoy very high demand - naturally.
In most good B & Bs you can no longer find places for weeks and even for the coming months, the prices are high in relation to the season and the B&B owners confirm that they have not experienced such an amount of bookings even in the period before Corona.
Pini Kamri, owner of the "Beit Beliman" B&B, estimates the extent of the interest that began during the closure period "by hundreds of percent", when they opened.
"We get dozens of inquiries every day. The weekends, from Thursday to Saturday, are full until mid-December, but the big challenge is to fill the middle of the week. I call on anyone who can take a few days of grace in the middle of the week and travel in our amazing Western Galilee, which combines Diverse landscapes and a charming and harmonious multiculturalism between all sectors and communities. "
Ben Vanunu, owner of the Alta Galilee B&B chain, described a "drastic increase in holiday bookings in holiday villas and B & Bs in the north, especially on weekends, which is not typical of the winter months. This week there was a 35% increase in weekend bookings For the middle of the week, compared to the corresponding period in 2019 ".
In "Israel Today" we called yesterday to several B & Bs in the north of the country and tried to book places for the weekend for the coming weeks.
Everyone said that it was not possible to make the reservation because the B & Bs were completely full.
Of course there are some where you can still book places but they are not many, and most of them have higher prices than the same period last year.
