This change in relative position in the international comparison - according to data compiled by Worldometer -
left the country in position number eight among those that recorded the most deaths in the world from coronavirus
in relation to its total population.
This parameter has been registering an increase in the country, in relation to other countries, for several weeks.
After having surpassed Sweden (on October 18) and Italy (on October 22), on Monday, November 2, Argentina passed to the United Kingdom, two days later it left Mexico and Ecuador behind.
Last Friday it reached a number of deaths from covid-19 per million inhabitants higher than that of the United States, one of the countries most questioned for its strategy against the pandemic.
In the last hours, in terms of mortality registered in relation to its population, the country became in worse conditions than Bolivia.
Argentina is
now the fourth country in Latin America in terms of fatal victims of the pandemic in relation to its population
, behind Peru (1,056 deaths per million inhabitants), Brazil (764) and Chile (762).
All of them are in the current situation having carried out more tests than Argentina.
