Some 35,879 new cases of Covid-19 have been identified in the past 24 hours in France, this Wednesday.
The day before, this figure rose to 22,180 people tested positive, against more than 40,000 to 60,000 the previous days.
The health authorities also record 329 additional deaths due to Covid-19, against 472 on Tuesday.
In total, 42,435 people have died from Covid-19 since the start of the epidemic in France, including 29,272 in hospitals.
351 additional people were admitted to intensive care for a total number of patients which stood at 4,789 on Wednesday, against 4,736 Tuesday for 6,400 beds currently available (but also for other pathologies). In total, 31,918 patients are currently hospitalized in France for a SARS-CoV-2 infection.
