In November I can always imagine that we are heading towards the end. This year it works particularly well.

I just did all kinds of things for the last time.

This was the last time I went to the "Brot & Rosen", the Italian restaurant on my street, as a hangman's meal I ate pasta with truffles.

I was at a reading for the last time, Tuvia Tenenbom read in the "Babylon" from his book "Alone Among Brits", in which he lamented the ineradicable anti-Semitism of the world for the last time, while the presenter Jürgen Kuttner was sitting next to him on the stage Drank beer, eyes almost closed.

The evening before the shutdown was the last time I went to a major birthday party.

It was my mother-in-law's.

It took place in the open air, in the former pioneer park in Berlin's Wuhlheide, a perfect place to watch the world go down.

My mother-in-law arranged bee stings, meatballs and coffee pots on one stone table, and I played table tennis with my family on another.

Last time group sport.

We borrowed the clubs from a squat toilet man, one euro per club and half an hour.

It was usury, but we no longer needed the money.

We ran through the damp, colorful autumn leaves as the sun set for the last time.
