Anyone who grew up in the 90s is familiar with the concept of "Tzipi Sixties", a mythological store with vintage items in Tel Aviv to which many teenagers from all over the country flocked, just to get a pair of pedal pants from Tzipi's hands.

To the delight of those fans, on the 20th of the month, a huge sale of "Tzipi Sixties" vintage clothing will be held in Tel Aviv, which will include many pants left over from those days, jackets, hats and quite a few unique fashion items.

"I remember they would come in droves with their parents or alone on buses and hitchhiking, just to buy pants," Tzipi recalls.

"Some of the boys would stay in the store for hours or come back every few days and tell me about themselves, their dreams, the quarrels with the parents and all kinds of problems they had. I was not just a saleswoman, I was kind of a psychologist for them. So there were no social networks everything was here "To the ear, and that's how the store became famous. Later I also opened a number of branches and there was not one who did not know the name."

When asked what kind of charm those pants have, she says, "These are pants with an expandable cut in the ankle area or a wide straight cut that cost 50 shekels. Or to a fashion chain. Teenagers in their teens were looking for the 'I', their identity in the mirror as well, and they would come in. I would suit them by my eyeprint and the conversations with them about what pants would suit everyone, and they would come home from here. I see them come out smiling. "

Today the store still exists in the flea market, but is almost inactive as Tzipi is currently concentrating on her health.

"There's someone in the store and I come from time to time, because I mainly concentrate on treating cirrhosis of the liver. I divide my time between a hospital, the sea, which calms me down a lot, and the store," she says.

With a good timing for the wardrobe renewal for the winter, and at prices that suit the challenging days of the Corona period, a group of young people calling themselves the Potlach community living at 9 Congress Street in Tel Aviv initiate a move to restore the old crown and open a unique sale day

The meeting with Tzipi and the project is the responsibility of Emri Kalman, a young man from the Potlach community, along with five other tenants.

Kalman says that a chance meeting of one of the residents in the community with Tzipi caused all the members of the community to get involved in the issue.

"The community began to form a common residence. We all live in the same building and it was necessary to create a community framework for ourselves. During the meetings we decided to create all kinds of unique projects and last August we did an art exhibition.

Group members have taken all the items that Tzipi has in the warehouse, and they will be displayed for sale at affordable prices.

"These are items from those days and second-hand items that are very relevant even today," says Kalman.

"We will unveil albums and greetings that teenagers left in Tzipi's stores during the peak period."

"It warms my heart to see these young people doing a beautiful deed. I would love to see the items sitting in the warehouse sell, this is a different era, a different era, and if through the venture I am also helping the youth now - that's a blessing."

The nostalgic sale will take place between November 20-21 at 9 Congress Street in Tel Aviv.

Visitors will also be able to join an open-air yoga class, decorate with a face painting around the mask or listen to the new album recorded by one of the tenants in the building.
