Not only will men and women divide the 12 films in competition exactly in half, but on the jury front it goes even further, this time being made up of women only (this also applies to the documentary section).

A total of 133 films, including feature films, medium films and short films that can be viewed online on the MYmovies streaming platform.

Tickets can instead be purchased from November 16 or for a single film or for a booklet of more than one screening.

Among the ideas that emerged during the press meeting, Nanni Moretti's willingness to screen, as soon as possible, some films of the event in his Roman hall of the Nuovo Sacher.

As for the competition, in which the main theme is "loss, the search for identity", as the director explains, also an Italian film among the twelve.

This is REGINA by Alessandro Grande, the story of a fifteen-year-old girl who lost her mother years earlier and dreams of being a singer.

While out of competition there will be THE HOLE IN THE HEAD by Antonio Capuano with Teresa Saponangelo in the role of Maria, a woman who lost her father, deputy police sergeant, forty years earlier in the course of a political demonstration, and CALIBER 9 by Toni D ' Angelo with Marco Bocci, Ksenia Rappoport, Alessio Boni and with the extraordinary participation of Barbara Bouchet and Michele Placido.

On the documentary front we also find MY AMERICA by Barbara Cupisti - which tells "the eyes and voices of ordinary Americans who want to maintain moral integrity and uphold the ideals of the Constitution";

SOLES OF WIND.

STORIES OF GOFFREDO FOFI by Felice Pesoli;

NEW PARALITICAL CINEMA by Davide Ferrario, "little pieces" of Italy lasting a few minutes;

There is no shortage of traditional masterclasses.

It starts with 'Women in Cinema: the evolving voices of women in cinema' with the jurors of the Torino38 competition, but there will also be Aleksandr Sokurov and his students from the St. Petersburg State University and that of the Iranian director Mohsen Makhmalbaf.

Among the novelties of this edition, which has a budget of 1.2 million, 'The rooms of Rol' or a section of "parallel worlds", a place of mystery and the unknown, the unexplainable and the bizarre, dedicated to the psychic Turin Gustavo Adolfo Rol.

The public, however, will be able to virtually meet the authors during pre-recorded meetings available on the Festival website, but also during live masterclasses.

Finally, as already announced, the first edition of the 'Stella della Mole' award dedicated to artistic innovation will go to actress Isabella Rossellini.
