Despite Corona, the new part of the "Matrix" cult series with Keanu Reeves was shot in the Potsdam film studios in Babelsberg.

According to the studio board, about 110 extras and around 200 crew members gathered in one of the studios on Thursday night - and danced.

But how does this fit together with the current corona rules?

According to the Babelsberg studio, that was part of the shoot.

The studio's director, Christoph Fisser, said: "It's a party scene that was shot."

Then the end of the shooting was toasted.

The "Bild" newspaper reported on the other hand, citing witnesses, of a possibly illegal party including a pyro show at the end of "Matrix 4".

The speech was of guests as alleged extras.

Cameras that captured the scene could not be seen.

The newspaper quotes a party guest: "Nobody shot."

Studio manager: "The whole team is being tested"

The "Potsdamer Neuesten Nachrichten" quote a city hall spokeswoman as saying: "As a result of the statements made there, it is checked whether and what consequences arise from it."

No event had been registered for the evening, the health department now wants to hold a hearing.

Whether legal or illegal, after the break it is clear: "The whole team is being tested," as studio manager Fisser said.

Each extra had done two PCR tests for Corona several days beforehand and a quick test before the party was shot.

"Otherwise we would honestly never have been responsible for it."

The actors would be tested daily.

During the shoot with four cameras, masks were worn by the employees, when they were toasted they were removed.

The 56-year-old Hollywood star Reeves was at least partially present during the shoot.

According to the city administration, there has so far been no notification of a violation of the Corona rules by the Babelsberg studio.

The studios are equipped with exhaust air systems with filters, the crew are regularly tested.

"According to our information, there were 700 to 800 tests a week."

They had been working on the new "Matrix" film there for eight months.
