A few days before the World Day of Childhood and Adolescence,
Save the Children
, the organization that has been fighting for 100 years to save children at risk and guarantee them a future,
in collaboration with Ansa
, presents the eleventh edition of the
Atlas of childhood at risk "With the eyes of girls"
, Tuesday 17 November, at 3 pm, during a
streaming
event
on ANSA.IT
The publication contains a photograph of the condition of childhood in Italy, enriched this year, with an in-depth study on the world of girls and girls, to turn the spotlight on their condition.
The data and analyzes found in the pages of the publication trace a demanding path, full of obstacles, challenges and problems for girls.
But they also give evidence of their resilience capacity, their ability to do more even with fewer resources and their drive to project themselves outward, to engage in public life, with a careful and aware reading of reality.
This is an all the more important prospect this year in which the Covid-19 pandemic threatens to set back their condition and undermine their hard-won rights.
This cross-section will discuss together with the Director of Ansa,
Luigi Contu
, the Minister for Equal Opportunities and the
Elena Bonetti
family
, the President of Istat
Gian Carlo Blangiardo
, the Vice President of the social enterprise with children
Marco Rossi Doria
, the Director of
Lucia Abbinant
National Youth Agency
and, in addition to
Raffaela Milano
, Director of Programs for Italy Europe of Save the Children and the curator of Save the Children's Atlas of Childhood at Risk,
Vichi De Marchi
.
In addition, the debate will have the contribution of
Francesco Profumo
, President of the Compagnia di San Paolo and the
boys and girls of Sottosopra
, the
youth movement for Save the Children
.
A journey, rich in data, elaborations and maps, with the voices of experts and scholars, girls and boys, writers, illustrations and photographs, which will help to look at reality by adding a gender perspective.
