Prof. Nachman Ash, the new Corona commissioner, paid a visit to Kfar Qassem today (Saturday), following the increase in morbidity in the city.
He was accompanied by Ayman Saif, head of the Corona's headquarters in Arab society.
Prof. Ash said: "Kafr Qassem is a city that is in the central area with a lot of traffic. We do not want it to be a hotspot that will burn the area with disease."
He instructed the mayor and the Home Front Command to work to double the number of tests at least five times (currently 400 are conducted per week).

"We are doing everything we can to avoid locksmiths in Arab cities and villages," Saif said.
He expressed deep concern that almost half of the new nationals every day belong to the Arab sector.
Adel Badir, the mayor, presented the guests with a work plan to reduce the number of infections and noted that as of this morning there are 91 verified in the city - 70 of them fell ill due to marriage.
Badir sought to help him with a budget to continue the fight against the virus, and demanded that a night closure be imposed on the city to prevent gatherings and weddings and various events.
