The Ministry of Health reported 262 deaths and 8,468 new coronavirus infections this Saturday.
With the data updated by the health portfolio, Argentina accumulates 35,307 fatalities due to the pandemic and 1,304,846 confirmed positive cases.
In the last 24 hours, the deaths of 145 men and 117 women were reported.
Just over eight months after the first death from Covid-19 was registered in the country, Argentina surpassed Chile on Thursday in the number of deaths per million inhabitants and ranks seventh worldwide.
Regarding the cases, the total amounts to 1,304,846, of which 1,119,366 are recovered patients and 150,173 are active confirmed cases.

The breakdown by province in terms of the number of new confirmed and accumulated infections is led by Buenos Aires, with 2,300 and 587,808, respectively.
They are followed by Santa Fe, with 1,339 and 127,448, and Córdoba, 1,139 (101,630).
In addition, it was reported that in the last 24 hours 25,314 tests were carried out and since the beginning of the outbreak, 3,434,801 diagnostic tests for this disease were carried out, which is equivalent to 75,695 samples per million inhabitants.
Regarding the monitoring of internees and beds of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), they confirmed that there are 4,346 adults hospitalized for Covid-19, with a total occupancy percentage of 58.1% throughout the country and 59.7% in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA).
